Dr. Ai Songtao, is a professor at Wuhan University, and Deputy Director of the Chinese Antarctic Center of Surveying and Mapping (CACSM). Since 2002, he has participated in over 10 scientific expediations to Antarctic and Arctic, making significant contributions to polar research. His key achievements include: leading and participating the establishment of the first overseas Beidou monitoring station at China’s Zhongshan Station in Antarctica, China’s Yellow River Station in the Arctic, and the national first Arctic GPS tracking station. He also developed the China's first polar scientific expedition management information system, enabling real-time environmental monitoring data transmission from Antarctic stations; the innovative "Xuelong Online" ship-shore interaction system, solving information silo challenges on icebreakers; and an independently controllable polar spatiotemporal information platform called "Double Dragon Probe" (PolarGo.cn), etc.
